We all have an innate ability to heal ourselves. Any small scrape is proof of that. There is also an apparent limit to that ability as demonstrated by, for example, Marie Antoinette. That leaves a considerable expanse of no-man’s land between what we easily can and obviously can’t do.
That gray area is what interests us. Healing Circles Langley provides a safe and supportive environment where anyone can explore and engage in their own healing regardless of their role in a health event or life-changing circumstance.
We offer a variety of ways to engage. Solo activities. Buddy programs. Sharing circles. Community conversations. Workshops. Classes. Some of these are scheduled events; others are always available. We also have a number of spaces and places that are healing in their own right: a music room, a meditation room, a secret clubhouse, a sand tray, a bench under a legacy apple tree overlooking the Cascade Mountains and Saratoga Passage…
To keep everything as available and accessible to the widest possible audience, most of what we offer is no- to low-cost or sliding scale. We are staffed by volunteers, most of whom have “been through it” or “in it” in varied and significant ways. While we each draw on our personal experience and training across many disciplines, we work on a peer-to-peer basis. In the event you need professional attention or something more than what Healing Circles Langley can offer, we’ll do our best to point you in the right direction.
As a program of Commonweal, Healing Circles Langley draws on 30 years of experience with the Commonweal Cancer Help Program, a national leader in cancer support. Healing Circles Langley is committed to providing low- to no-cost services and as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization depends on the generosity of its supporters to make this possible.
